Meet the candidates we supported in 2025

  • Andrew Macurdy is a former federal and state prosecutor, and counsel to the New Jersey Attorney General.  He is running for the NJ State Assembly in a longtime Republican district that voted for Kamala Harris by 12 points last year.  The 21st Legislative District needs leaders who will prioritize public transit, address root causes of rising costs like childcare, and protect residents from the flooding and fallout of a warming climate. The time for change is now.

  • Born to an unhoused family, Claire understands firsthand the long term impacts on development for children, and trauma for families that hundreds of thousands of unhoused face. As a former foster-adopt child, Claire then experienced firsthand the impacts of municipal Systems, Judges, Social Workers and Courts when they operate shorthanded. Today, Claire works to provide housing and opportunity for the most vulnerable in the community, and to close the gaps between cities and Counties to provide for every resident, regardless of economic status.

  • David Wecht is an attorney and jurist, who has served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania since 2016. Prior to his election in 2015, Wecht had served as a judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He has dedicated his career to public service and hopes to continue to have the honor of serving the people of Pennsylvania and treating all with fairness, honesty, and integrity.

  • Elizabeth Guzmán is the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s 22nd House District. A social worker and public administrator, she made history as the first Latina immigrant elected to the Virginia General Assembly, where she represented the 31st District for six years. During her three terms in the House of Delegates, Elizabeth championed expanding access to health care, strengthening public schools, and fighting for working families. She’s running to flip this seat and continue delivering results for her community.

  • Erica Deuso is running for Mayor of Downingtown, PA to build a community that is Safe, Sustainable, and Strong. A proven problem-solver with experience in both local nonprofits and global operations in the Pharmaceutical industry, Erica is committed to protecting public safety, strengthening flood resilience, expanding affordable housing, and keeping Downingtown’s Good Neighbor spirit alive. She also hopes to make history as the first openly transgender mayor elected in Pennsylvania, bringing representation and perspective never before seen in the Commonwealth.

  • Genesis Ramos made history in Orange County, NY, as the first woman of color elected to the County Legislature. Since her election, she has spoken truth to power, exposed corruption, fought for tenant protections, advocated for reproductive rights, and stood in solidarity with the immigrant community. She championed the creation of a groundbreaking housing task force within the county government to focus on policies and funding aimed at addressing the housing crisis. Additionally, she was appointed Chair of the Human Services Committee, overseeing the county's Department of Social Services, Veterans Services, Employment and Training, and the Office for the Aging. She is running for re-election to continue providing her district with the representation and advocacy needed at a time when moral clarity and bold leadership are criticalat all levels of government.

  • Dr. Greg Lam is a cardiologist and long time community leader in Central Ohio who is running for the Dublin, OH City Council. A first-time candidate, Greg wants to expand civic engagement in local government to  ensure that every resident’s voice is heard. He will bring strategic innovations to the City Council that honors Dublin’s strong heritage while strengthening community connections.

  • My name is Jayden Williams, and I’m running to be the next Mayor of Stockbridge. I’ve dedicated my life to service, from serving as Youth Mayor and the youngest Planning Commissioner to leading community programs that uplift our residents. My vision is to build a stronger, more united Stockbridge by prioritizing affordable housing, smart growth, and opportunities that ensure every resident feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we can lead Stockbridge into a brighter future.

  • Jess is deeply rooted in her community and has been advocating for years for the needs of others. Her personal experience with social safety net programs is a driving force in her desire to serve Virginia’s 71st House of Delegates District. She understands the struggles that many families face in her community with food and housing insecurity, affordability issues, and lack of access to quality healthcare. Jess is committed to improving the lives of her friends and neighbors through good policy and is looking forward to being a voice in Richmond for all who call the 71st District home.

  • ohn McAuliff is a career public servant and small business owner running to flip the last Republican seat in Loudoun County in one of the top battleground races in Virginia. A 10th generation Virginian, John returned to his family's historic home after college to care for his grandmother, and eventually opened his own business in Fauquier County. Since then, John has served as a Chief of Staff in the House of Delegates and in the Biden Administration's USDA, creating thousands of well-paying jobs in rural America and helping keep farms in the family. John is running for House District 30 to preserve our farmland, protect our rights, and strengthen the Northern Virginia economy amidst cuts to the federal workforce and tariff chaos.

  • Jonas Eppert is a 27-year-old environmentalist running for the Virginia House of Delegates in District 74, representing Chesterfield County and the City of Colonial Heights. He first became involved in politics as a high school student, volunteering on progressive campaigns since 2016. After the devastating outcome of the 2024 presidential election, he stepped forward determined to turn his passion into real political change.

    His priorities include strengthening labor protections by repealing Virginia’s “right to work” law and guaranteeing collective bargaining rights for all public-sector employees; investing in education through universal pre-K, free school meals, and stronger support for HBCUs; and advancing bold environmental justice policies to safeguard clean water and confront the climate crisis.

  • Kelsea Bond is running for Atlanta City Council to build affordable housing, expand public transit, and win an Atlanta that works for working families — not just the billionaires. Kelsea is a community organizer, union leader and education policy worker with over a decade of experience in public service. Growing up in a family of educators and public service workers, Kelsea was raised to believe our government has a responsibility to provide everyone with safe housing, quality education, and a good standard of living.

  • Kimberly is a lifelong Virginian who loves calling Dinwiddie home. She’s an Accountant and Auditor who wants to bring accountability to the House of Delegates.

    Her deep love for the area she grew up in is the cornerstone of why she’s running to serve the new 82nd District. Our District of Petersburg, Dinwiddie, Prince George, and Surry deserves a Delegate to fight for all of us. Kimberly is a mother whose community has seen hardships that were preventable. She’s ready to be a voice for a District that has long been ignored by Richmond.

  • Dr. Kylie Morris is a family physician with an MBA in healthcare, a public health advocate, and a first-time candidate running for Millcreek Township Supervisor in Erie County. She’s running to bring a fresh perspective to local government shaped by her years of listening to patients, navigating complex systems, and making practical decisions with people’s well-being in mind. If elected, Kylie would be the first Black Supervisor in township history. She believes it matters that residents see themselves reflected in leadership and that leadership be transparent, accountable, and responsive to the real needs of the community. Her priorities include improving sidewalks and transit access, supporting thoughtful development, and strengthening partnerships across schools, healthcare, and local business to help make Millcreek a healthier, more connected place to live and work.

  • Southwest Virginia deserves a leader who will fight for us. Our communities are built on grit, hard work, and looking out for one another, but too many families are being left behind. I’ve spent nearly a decade working to ensure our region gets the resources it deserves, fighting for microgrants for farmers, housing protections, and clean drinking water laws. It’s time for a leader who will push for affordable housing, good jobs, strong schools, and better healthcare. A vote for me is a vote for your neighbor, a vote for our home, a vote for a future where no one is left behind.

  • As a middle school principal, former Mayor, and City Council member, Mary has spent her life serving her community with heart and integrity. As mayor, Mary championed free community college scholarships, a first-time homebuyer program, and improved housing standards, while also enhancing neighborhood safety, and laying the groundwork for a regional workforce training center. Mary brings the experience and dedication we need to fight for working families in Richmond.

  • As a 20-year Richmond resident, I’ve witnessed the challenges Virginians face—economic inequality, inadequate healthcare, underfunded schools, unaffordable housing, and the erosion of hard-won reproductive and civil rights. Seeing these challenges, I knew I had to act. With experience spanning small and large business, nonprofits, and government, I’ve stepped up to drive policy change. As Delegate for the 57th District, I will be your voice in the General Assembly. Together, we can build a Virginia where hard work is rewarded, opportunity is accessible, and the American Dream is within reach. 

  • Delegate Michael Feggans was raised most of his life in the West Kempsville portion of Virginia Beach. A proud product of the Virginia Beach Public School system, he graduated from Tallwood High School. He immediately enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to pursue a career that \would provide him the opportunity to become an innovative leader. As an alumnus of Park University, Virginia Tech, and Norfolk State, he values and understands the importance of both traditional and nontraditional education. After 20 years of service in the Air Force, he knew the best place to retire from the military and start his next phase as a tech entrepreneur was back home in Virginia Beach. In 2023, Michael flipped House District 97 from a red to a blue seat in one of the most competitive races in Virginia and got right to work, earning the 2024 Climate All-Star Award from the Chesapeake Climate Action Network Fund and the 2024 Legislative Rookie of the Year and the the 2025 Legislative Champion Award from the Virginia Education Association. Michael plans to continue his work in the House of Delegates, serving the community he loves.

  • I'm running for delegate to deliver a thriving Economy where workers earn living wages, the costs of living are affordable from the grocery store to health care, small businesses have the support they need, and no one is left behind; an Education system that prepares every child for success regardless of their zip code or background; and, an Environment protected by science and forward-thinking policies that ensure clean air, clean water, and sustainable growth for generations to come.  Above all, I am running to stand up for every member of our community, to give them a voice to “Demand Better”  

  • My name is Quinn Wright, and I’m running for Mayor of Madison Heights. I currently serve on City Council, where I’ve spent the past four years listening to residents, building partnerships, and working to move our city forward. My vision is rooted in the “3 C’s ”Caring, Collaboration, and Community,” with a focus on workforce housing, healthcare access, and supporting local businesses so that Madison Heights remains a place where every family can thrive.

  • Sara lives, works, shops, worships, and sings right here in our community. With decades of experience in both personal and professional advocacy, she’s ready to put that dedication to work for the good people of the 62nd district as your representative in the House of Delegates. Our community deserves an advocate who is willing to do the work and can deliver real results for us. Sara’s rural roots go back several generations, and she understands that rural communities have unique needs that need to be represented in all levels of government. 

  • Soren Stevenson is running for Minneapolis City Council in Ward 8. His experiences as a union member, renter, homeless outreach worker, and survivor of police violence have given him the knowledge and tools he needs to lead on the most pressing issues in the city: housing, police accountability, and climate action.

  • Stacey Carroll is a mom veteran, CPA, foster parent, and community advocate committed to fighting for families, schools, working people, and children across Stafford County. Stacey’s commitment to service began early– she served 19 years in the military leading crisis response efforts and supporting the transition of active duty military back to civilian life. An auditor by trade, Stacey specializes in auditing government agencies and ensuring responsible governance. Stacey is also a dedicated foster parent specializing in supporting teenagers. She has fostered 22 children to date, and was honored by the Fredericksburg Department of Social Services in 2024 as the Spotlight Resource Parent of the Year. In office, Stacey is committed to forging a brighter future for Stafford families by addressing the rising cost of living, expanding access to healthcare, childcare, and other critical services, increasing funding for our schools, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

  • Ty Hodges is running for school board because he believes every student deserves to feel safe, supported, and successful in Williamsburg-James City County schools. As a parent, he’s committed to fully funding his community's public schools and making sure teachers and staff have the right to collectively bargain for the fair pay and benefits they deserve. Ty is ready to fight for strong schools that work for every student, every family, and every educator.

  • I’m Zack Zappone, and I’m running for re-election to the Spokane City Council. I was born and raised here in a working-class, union family rooted in public service. I worked at McDonald’s to help pay for college, becoming the first in my family to earn a degree, later becoming a Fulbright Scholar and earning a Master’s from Princeton.
    I came home to teach in our public schools and expand access to health care. In 2021, I ran for City Council to fight for families facing the same barriers I saw growing up.
    Now raising my own family here, I’m focused on housing, public safety, and transportation, delivering real results for working people, not special interests. I’m running for re-election because everyone deserves a fair shot.
