How we work
One simple philosophy: pool our power, target the races where it counts, and build the bench for tomorrow.
The model
No galas, no overhead theater. Members pool money, study the map, and place it where a few thousand dollars actually swings a race.
Pool power
Members contribute monthly; we aggregate for maximum impact. Your $50 joins hundreds of others to become real money in a local race.
Target purple
We focus on flippable districts where progressive candidates can actually win. Strategic geography means every dollar has leverage.
Build tomorrow
State and local wins build the pipeline. Today's city council member is next cycle's state legislator — strong state power becomes strong national power.
Why women-led giving
Greater Than is run by women — teachers, students, moms, lawyers, healthcare workers — who got tired of watching big-dollar politics talk past them. So we built the thing we wanted to join: a giving circle with a strategy.
- Local races are decided by margins small-dollar pools can move
- Collective vetting beats lone-wolf donating — we do the homework together
- Members vote on every endorsement; the fund goes where the room decides
- We publish the receipts — dollars, races, outcomes — every cycle
Rigorous enough to trust with your money. Warm enough that you'll want to stay for the company.
Who we are
Launched June 2019 in Washington, DC — year one was 14 women pooling $30,000. Today our members are nationwide, with $500K+ invested across 60+ candidates.
